When you set Chrysanthemums out for display, it’s important to remove any foliage beneath the petals so that a clean steam rises from the base to the bloom. If you place your stems in a vase of water, it’s helpful to cut the lowest part of the flower stems with a sharp shear at a 45-degree angle.
